The official flavour description of "Golden Years" is eight characters: elegant aged aroma, soft and silky texture. Aged aroma is time's gift to the spirit: a young distillate is sharp and showy; only after ageing and maturation does it settle into the composed, restrained scent of age. Silkiness, in turn, is the art of blending — harmonising spirits of different years into one seamless body that enters the mouth like silk.
