Three characters — "Dongfang Hong," the Eastern Red — carry unusual weight in the Chinese heart. They are the color of dawn breaking, and the memory of a nation. On the dinner table, they are also the name of a wine: Dongfang Hong, the premium brand of Jiannanchun.

Within Jiannanchun's vast portfolio, Dongfang Hong holds a special place. It does not carry the character "chun" (spring) in its name, yet it embodies the deepest Oriental spirit. It never shouts through advertising — it lets the liquid itself speak, and has become a classic among strong-aroma baijiu.

I. A Premium Name, Born of a Thousand-Year Lineage

To understand Dongfang Hong, first understand Jiannanchun. Its brewing history reaches back more than a thousand years, to the Tang Dynasty, when "Jiannan Shaochun," brewed in Mianzhu, was famed as a wine of the imperial court. "Tang Dynasty palace wine, today's Jiannanchun" — that is an unbroken lineage.

As Jiannanchun's premium brand, Dongfang Hong carries forward techniques refined over a millennium — and with them, the full sincerity of a famous distillery: nothing less than the finest ingredients, craft and time.

🏺 Brand Identity

Dongfang Hong = the premium brand of Jiannanchun, meticulously blended by the celebrated Jiannanchun Flavor Design Center and finished by the distillery's master blenders, tuned to the palate and aesthetic of today's connoisseurs.

II. Flavor Design: The Master's Final Stroke

In the world of baijiu there is a saying: seven parts brewing, three parts blending. Raw distillate is only half-finished; what gives a wine its soul is the "final stroke" of the flavor designers — harmonizing spirits of different ages and rounds into one signature character.

Dongfang Hong's body comes from the Jiannanchun Flavor Design Center: comforting aged aroma, rich cellar fragrance, soft and mellow, silky and clean, perfectly harmonious — full and rounded in the mouth, with a long, lingering finish. The four ideals of strong-aroma baijiu — aroma, richness, purity, freshness — are answered in full.

III. Seven Grains, Grade-One Standard

Dongfang Hong is brewed from water, sorghum, wheat, rice, glutinous rice, corn and barley. Multi-grain ratios yield a richer palette of aroma compounds — the raw-material foundation of Sichuan strong-aroma's signature "fragrant yet refined, rich yet balanced" character.

It meets GB/T10781.1 (Grade One) — the national standard for strong-aroma baijiu, with "Grade One" being its highest tier.

IV. Eastern Red, Eastern Spirit

"Dongfang Hong" is itself the finest brand narrative. Red is China's color of joy — festivals, rites, good news to come. It is also the base tone of Eastern aesthetics: steady, warm, dignified yet unassuming.

Set a bottle of Dongfang Hong on the table and no words are needed — that stroke of Chinese red already speaks of measure and sincerity.
